Both potholes and dust nuisance…

I reported pot holes over 4 weeks ago and nothing has been done about it yet. – Cars are driving on the wrong side of the road around blind corners to avoid them, this poses a real and present danger. Please re-grade the lower portion of Martin Access Rd as a priority.

It has been dry for only 2 days and the dust nuisance has started already. Is there anything that can be done (like returning to the different, coarser mix used in the grading which you changed from about 6 years ago – things have been progressively getting worse, and much much, more dusty since). Either that, or is there a bonding agent or dust preventer which you can add to the mix when you next grade it please?

All residents of Martin Access Rd collect our drinking water from the house roofs, we are concerned about the potential growing health problems that this creates as the amount of dust from the road continues to increase year on year.

This message has been copied to the Ahuroa Grapevine (ahuroa.nz) so that the local residents are aware of this being lodged with the council.

Chris.

Incident at South Head.

This is being sent to all Rural Areas around Helensville. Mandi Bell, of Helensville Police has asked me to send this out to our members.

I attended an incident today up the top of South Head in relation to a cow being shot in the paddock. Happened sometime overnight. It was shot and just left there. No attempts to take it for meat so its anyone’s guess what happened. It also had a day old calf.

I ask you to email out to your members to keep an eye out for any suspicious activity. Especially 4WD at odd times and spotlights.

If this is observed happening ring 111. If seen previously contact Helensville Police Station 094208967.

I ask property owners that have arranged to have people hunt on their land please ensure you let your neighbours know.

Thanks,

Jersey steer on SH16, just north of West Coast Rd

I have just moved a big fat jersey steer off highway 16- he was at the top of the first hill north of West Coast rd, just after the forestry on the right. He is now in a paddock/ raceway slightly north /opposite the forest, just beside an empty white house a green roof. There is a white board fence along the driveway.

If anyone is looking for him that’s where he will be!

Thanks
