Rubbish (in official orange bags) is picked up from the corner of Ahuroa Road & Remiger Road in Puhoi on Tuesday morning and West Coast Road on Thursday morning. In both cases rubbish may not be left until 7am on the day of collection. Check Rodney Times for holiday collection days.

Let’s keep Ahuroa clean and tidy!

RECYCLING:
Every second Tuesday throughout the year.
Check Rodney Times for holiday collection days.

LETTER BOXES:
When you install a new letterbox, be sure to consult with the RD person about its position. The post your letterbox sits on should be 1 metre high.

RAPID NUMBERS:
RAPID is an acronym for Rural Address Property Identification. This is your official road number and it is the number that emergency services need to respond to your calls for help. If you don’t know what yours is, it can be found under ‘Location of Property’ on your RDC Rates Bill. It is strongly suggested that your RAPID number is displayed at your property entrance where it can be seen when approaching your property from either direction. The numbers should be reflective so they can easily be seen at night. Many councils throughout NZ offer RAPID Plates to rate payers but our council does not. They are silver numbers on blue plates like road name signs.

RURAL ADDRESSES:
Your address should look something like:

Mr J Bloggs
1997 Ahuroa Road
Warkworth RD1
Auckland 0981
