Rodney wide 60km/h speed limits proposed, feedback closes today

Hi everyone, – IMPORTANT, FEEDBACK CLOSES TODAY 28-Aug !

I have been shocked to learn that AT have proposed almost Rodney-wide local road speed reductions to a blanket 60km/h in what they’re calling a new ‘Rural Zone’. I’ve been shocked because I only learnt about this today, Monday 28th August, and their public consultation / feedback, closes TODAY.

All roads captured in that area will be reduced to 60km/h in a blanket zone based speed reduction. – This avoids SH16, that is not under AT’s direct control.

I’m amazed we haven’t heard anything about this in the media or perhaps I’ve just been living under a rock…?
