Be alert – stay safe and lock up.

Hi,

There is (armed) police activity in the area, with some currently stationed at the end of Martin Access Rd. – We have to assume that this is part of the coordinated man-hunt effort that has involved police in Mangawhai and Kaiwaka tonight.

While there may be no reason for hightened concern, we recommend that you ensure that your vehicles are securely locked, any quads secured, any out-houses and sheds are locked etc.

Stay safe tonight – lock up.

Cheers, regards,

Chris.

Incident at South Head.

This is being sent to all Rural Areas around Helensville. Mandi Bell, of Helensville Police has asked me to send this out to our members.

I attended an incident today up the top of South Head in relation to a cow being shot in the paddock. Happened sometime overnight. It was shot and just left there. No attempts to take it for meat so its anyone’s guess what happened. It also had a day old calf.

I ask you to email out to your members to keep an eye out for any suspicious activity. Especially 4WD at odd times and spotlights.

If this is observed happening ring 111. If seen previously contact Helensville Police Station 094208967.

I ask property owners that have arranged to have people hunt on their land please ensure you let your neighbours know.

Thanks,
Margaret Faed
