Lambing time – Please keep your dogs on your property

Happy August, its lambing time!

Over the coming weeks please ensure that your dogs remain on your property and under your control. This is an important time of year for farmers and it is crucial that lambing ewes remain undisturbed.

Dogs will be shot if they are found worrying ewes and new born lambs – even a single small dog in a paddock can cause a huge amount of damage within minutes – terrorising or even killing sheep, mis-mothering and orphaning lambs. This is not only hugely stressful, it can have a big financial impact.

Thanks for your understanding. Best of luck everyone for a successful spring.
