Hey Everyone, our dogs have done their annual disappearing act from Martin Access Rd. They were headed towards Ahuroa when they were spotted last. PLEASE could you keep an eye out for them, they’re friendly so if you can lock them up and then contact us if you see them?

Our dog was caught in a gin trap on Friday night just over our fence in the Makarau forest at the Martin Access Rd entrance. Please can you warn dog and cat owners that traps have been set and to take extra care.
While the traps themselves are the legal size, the proximity to houses means they have been set illegally. The are also not being checked regularly which is one of the other MPI requirements.
We’re not against possum trapping at all, just asking that people please do it in a responsible and humane way. And if anyone is setting traps please let neighbours know through a sign or via the grapevine. We have also been in touch with the people managing the forest.
If the person who set these traps wants them back, they can contact Damian Woolliscroft at SPCA on [email protected] or phone 022 197 6025.

I have too much grass and am offering grazing for one horse at $25 per week. Martin Access Road.
Contact Karen 0211525896 or [email protected]
I have my own horse which would be in the next paddock. Cool for him to have a friend (and cooler if I had a riding companion). Haha – not essential though.
