Hi Everyone

A reminder of the Hamburger and Movie night at the Ahuroa Hall this Saturday 28th September!

The movie will be the kiwi classic – Footrot Flats!

Bring $5 for each person to get a hamburger and some popcorn.
We will be open from about 5:30 for dinner and the movie will be on at about 7pm approximately.
Bring bean bags or cushions to watch the movie too!

Our Ahuroa Hall Quiz Night is this Saturday 17th!

Organise a team of 5 or more, if you can, and book a table through Jo Bullock ( [email protected] ) otherwise just join in on a team on the night 🙂

BYO drinks and a supper plate to share if you like, we will also provide some tea and coffee to keep everyone’s brains charged up!

Kicks off at 8pm at the Ahuroa Community Hall on Ahuroa Rd (Next to the school)

Ahuroa Hall mid-winter solstice Pot luck Dinner, Saturday 22nd

Hi All

Everyone is welcome to the annual Ahuroa Hall mid-winter solstice Pot luck Dinner this Saturday 22nd.  

With Lego Masters just finished on TV we’d like to invite all kids (and big kids) in the community to bring their Lego model of the Ahuroa Hall to the dinner! All who bring a model will receive a little prize from the Hall Committee for their efforts! Come and join in the fun!

We will have a sketch of our proposed Hall move to share our vision for the future with you all.  We’ve been working with Auckland Council and presenting to the Rodney Local Board to progress our idea.

Also the committee would like to give all the wonderful local kids who come to dinner a small packet of chips and a can of drink for free! – limited supplies so first in first served.😊

Bring enough dinner or dessert for the people you are bringing to put in the pot luck. Also make sure you bring your own plates, cutlery and drinks.  Doors open about 5pm to setup tables and chairs etc.  The Ahuroa Hall is at 1345 Ahuroa Rd next to Ahuroa school.

See you all on Saturday to celebrate the middle of Winter and to bring on Spring!

Concept Drawings of the Ahuroa Hall

Hi everyone, as you may or may not know, the Ahuroa Hall Advisory Committee is planning to relocate the Ahuroa Hall to a better location to make it easier to use, warmer and improve its usability.

We plan to move it up onto the flat area behind the hall next to the School Pool. We have presented our idea to the Rodney Local Board and they are supporting us.

We would now like to get some concept drawings made up, so we are canvassing the local community for someone with the skills (or learning the skills at Uni or School) that would be able to mock up a couple of drawings for us which we can share with the community and other organisations.
