On the 15th of December last year, someone entered our woolshed beside the road at 301 Komokoriki Hill Road and lit a fire inside. Thankfully, we arrived home just as it took hold, and we were able to extinguish it.
Unfortunately, while we could see where the perpetrator most likely escaped by crossing to the other side of the road and entering our neighbour’s farm, Police have not got enough evidence as yet to help track down the person or persons who did this. The woolshed had 30 sheep in it at the time, which the fire-lighter would have been aware of, so whoever lit this fire was prepared for animals to die.
If anybody saw anything that day or has any information that might help Police, please contact Dan or Nicky Berger on 09 422 5060.
Thanks
