It is available on line and if your Group prefers the online version please advise me. Email: [email protected], txt 0212583737 or ph. 094254662 and leave message. Name, Street and number of members.

Delivery: Can you spare some time to assist in delivering magazines in your area. It would be great to have someone to put them in letter boxes while I drive. Margaret 0212583737

Old Copies or Read Copies: Please do not throw out but give to neighbours or friends. But is good as a reference for future use.

INCIDENCES: The continued message is take care of your property. Lock your vehicles, remove easily removed valuables like outboard motors, fuel cans, electric garden tools, mowers etc and store in a safe place. One burglary was done because during the day the garage door had been left wide open with no owner about in the vicinity. Later found their fence had been graffitied by paint stolen from the own garage. Be on the look out if you see a group of young people moving from one street to the next and you feel they may cause a problem or if a party has people all out in the street causing mayhem. Ring 111.

FREE CPR Course at the Fire Station

It’s time to give back to the community who has given to us.

Ahuroa Volunteer Fire Brigade in conjunction with TRIPLE ONE CARE NORTHLAND is holding a FREE CPR training session on the 5th of March at the Fire Station.

If your partner, child or friends heart stopped in your presence today, would you know what to do until the emergency services arrived? Remember you live in the country and there will be a delay compared to an urban area.

Attend this training and you will leave with the knowledge and skills to give your loved one the best chance of survival using your own hands. No tools required!

This training is being provided by Simon Townsend, a full time trainer who is a paramedic with over 25 years front line experience and lives in Ahuroa.

Come and learn how to and then practice on the mannequins provided so you have complete confidence.

Where; Ahuroa Fire Station, West Coast Road
When: Sunday the 5th of March
Time; 3pm – 5pm with social time and BBQ provided afterwards. Cash bar available if you so desire.
Minimum age; 14 years

Registration is essential as places are limited due to mannequins available and training quality.

Please contact
Alan Davie-Martin 094225569 or 0276343519 or [email protected]
Darrell Tanner 094224024 or 0211406264 or [email protected]

RSVP by 1st of March please.

Disclaimer – This is a non certified course designed to give you the skills and knowledge only and in no way substitutes First Aid courses provide by a specialist provider.

Ahuroa Hall Fundraiser – Fun Show Jumping day, help needed please.

The annual ‘Ahuroa Feed – Fun Show Jumping’ day is being held on Sunday, 26th February at the lovely Matakana Equestrian Park (at the Matakana Country Park). This is a fundraiser for the Ahuroa Hall, so ALL proceeds will be going to support your hall.

We are looking for some volunteers to help on the day. No special skills required! And you don’t have to be “horsey”.

We are also looking for donations of home kill sausages that can be bbq’d and sold on the day to those in attendance. Again, all proceeds from this goes to the Ahuroa Hall.

If you can help, even if just for a few hours, please contact either Karyn/Sue at 09 422 4947 to find out more.

Piano and Large Animal Cage.

Hi,

I have an old piano free to anyone who would like to take it away, it is a bit worn and could do with re-tuning, not that the kids noticed that when they played it!!.

I also have this very large animal cage for sale.  Dry and very solid – $350, will take at least 2 strong people to move it.
It is approx 2.5m in length and 1.1m at its highest point. It is 1.3m in width.

If you are interested then please give me a call on 09 4225222 or email me at [email protected].

Thanks, Lee,
