We have several exciting programmes currently running that we would like to offer our wider community families.

Our seniors are involved in the CatchIt Schools Programme, run by The Forest Bridge Trust and the University of Auckland, which focuses on pest eradication in NZ. This is a community program. If you would be interested in coming along to one of the workshops run by the The Forest Bridge Trust let us know. Click here for more information.

Private music lessons are run by MusicRoom every Tuesday at Ahuroa School.  We currently have 14 students making the most of this opportunity.  1:1 tuition on a large variety of instruments is available.

NXT Lego Robotics Workshops run every Friday afternoon from 2.30-4.30pm in our technology room. Next school holidays we will also be offering a 2 day course.

4 Year Old Friday is run every Friday from 11am-12.30pm.  This the perfect way to introduce young ones to the school environment, in a gentle and fun way.  There is no charge and all 4 year olds and their families are welcome to come along.

Ahuroa Take-aways!  As an extension to our Friday school lunches, Angela Gibson will be making meals available as a family takeaway.  Available for pick up every Friday after school.  Orders and payment need to be into the school office by the Wednesday of each week.  Cost: $5 per adult portion, $3.50 per child portion.  Click here to view our Menu.

Before and After School Care is available every day at Ahuroa School from between 7-8am and 3-5pm.  Bookings are essential.  We are currently waiting on funding in hopes of being able to provide a free before and after school care service for our community.

Please contact the school office for further information on any of the above.  Tel 09 422 5898 or email [email protected]

Our Thanks

Our thanks also to the NZ Community Trust for our fantastic new dual purpose basketball / netball hoops.  We hope our community families have been enjoying them during the weekends.

A great way to stay connected with our school is to join us on Facebook or subscribe to our weekly Broadcasts.  Click to view our latest Broadcast.
