Very Large Puhoi/Ahuroa Subdivision Public Meeting THIS TUESDAY

Hello Grapevine

This coming Tuesday the 27th of September from 5pm to 7pm there will be a public meeting at the Puhoi Sports Club to provide residents with information about the very large subdivision proposed for our area. Staff from Beca (the consultancy who have developed the proposal on behalf of the owners API) will also engage in a Q+A session on any topics related to the subdivision.

Please come along to get yourselves informed and to find out how it will affect our area.

Asia Pacific International (API) are planning to develop a very large subdivision on old Carter Holt forestry land from Puhoi to the north and west, bounded by SH1, Ahuroa Road and stretching well beyond Moirs Hill Road.

The proposal is to create 207 housing lots over an area of 1,300 hectares (3,200 acres).

A resource consent application has recently been notified by Auckland Council so there is a window of opportunity for residents to make submissions in order to change, limit, improve or otherwise alter the proposal.

This information and Q+A session provides an opportunity for residents to be informed about the proposed development, and to help you decide whether you wish to make a submission on the resource consent. The closing date for submissions is 5pm, Monday 10th October, so it’s not far away.

This link takes you to the Council website where all the documentation for the resource consent is available http://www.aucklandcouncil.govt.nz/EN/ratesbuildingproperty/consents/getinvolved/Pages/currentpubliclynotifiedconsents.aspx

Following the public meeting, the Puhoi Community Forum will meet at its normal time of 7.30pm, and this proposal is on the agenda to discuss for those who wish to stay on and contribute.
