Dear Puhoi people and all our friends from neighbouring areas,
My huge thanks to our sponsors, the team of Mike Pero, Puhoi, who, while I was asleep under my mosquito net, laid this out and organised its printing and distribution.
And to Jaqui Barrett, new village market manager, who provided some really lovely photographs.
May all our readers be blessed, especially as we recollect what has been happening while we were all sleeping to our people in other parts of New Zealand.
Not to mention our friends and contacts in the Pacific – I remember, especially friends of mine from Apia, Samoa, who have been flooded out.
From time to time people ask me to add their email address to my distribution list. Other people do not realise it even exists – please tell them about it and encourage them to ask to be put on the list.

With love and thanks to you all,

We thank our volunteer Dalys for contacting the people whose emails bounce back. Out of over 520 we usually get about 10 emails back each time we send out Smart Client and communications. Please if you do not receive regular emails contact the coordinator on firstname.lastname@example.org and advise any changes to your address, so our records can be corrected.
PACKS, ROAD SIGNS AND STICKERS
Our thanks go to Lesley who makes up all our packs. We have more available if you can encourage your neighbours or friends to join. Also many places have no signs up. We have Rural as well as ordinary signs for the Town areas.
We are now collecting articles and photos towards our 2018 Magazine. By distributing 5000 copies our organisation receives $5000.00 towards the $39000 required to run our organisation.

NEIGHBOUROOD SUPPORT GROUPS
I thank all those who were able to help their neighbours to cope with the past weather that in some places caused emergency situations. Your Group is seen very important by the ACDEM organisation. It is up to us and our local Emergency Response Groups to look after ourselves in any emergency.
It is important for yourselves and your Neighbours that you know each other in case of an unexpected emergency, ideally you should be part of a Group.
If you are not in a position to form a GROUP maybe a neighbour will.
