Hi Everyone

The Ahuroa Riding Group (soon to officially be Ahuroa Pony Club) is starting up next week! Our first Rally is next Wednesday 22nd February.

When? 4:30 – 6:30pm (come from 4pm if you can to help get horses/ponies ready). We will also be running other rallies after this – most likely fortnightly.

Where? Bullocks Farm – 247 Wech Access (off West Coast Rd)

What to Bring? Jodhpurs (or suitable riding pants), riding boots/gumboots with a heel (no running shoes) and Helmet (or bike helmet).
How Much? $5 per rally casual rate or $15 for the whole season (approx 5 rallies) and $10 for horse/pony hire. This is payable on the day.

Why? To learn about horsemanship, horse care and horse riding through the NZ Pony Club system. Its a fun way to spend the afternoon learning and spending time with horses/ponies and other horse riders. Once we are formally registered as a pony club this will also allow members to work towards their certificates and gain horsemanship badges. Everyone is welcome, from newcomers to adult riders.

Who? Christine Bullock is a long time Pony Club instructor and Joanna Bullock is a local horse riding instructor who competes regularly, has represented the NZ Pony Club Association in the past and has achieved her B certificate.

If you are keen to come, please register with Christine Bullock on 09 422 5598 or Joanna Bullock on 09 973 3687 (both of us are also on Facebook) – especially if you require a horse or Pony.

See you next Wednesday.
From the Ahuroa Riding Group.
