Neighbourhood Support New Zealand (NSNZ) is dedicated to ‘making our homes, streets, neighbourhoods and communities safer and more caring places in which to live and enable people to share information, ideas and insights’.

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced person to coordinate and grow our Neighbourhood Support presence in rural communities across New Zealand.

This is a 6-month fixed term position. Location negotiable as some travel may be involved. This highly satisfying role will see you:

  •   Assist local coordination and growth of Neighbourhood Support groups in rural communities
  •   Actively seek partnership opportunities/initiatives that impact upon rural communities at an area level through engagement with like-minded external rural groups
  •   Communicate regularly and effectively with stakeholders and area coordinators
  •   Undertake an evaluation of the Neighbourhood Support in rural communities

    We are looking for a proactive and responsible individual who has exceptional communication skills and experience in research.
    An understanding of community development and the not for profit sector is desirable.
